Upgrading your weapons and armors are crucial to increasing your power. To upgrade, head to the NPC Blacksmith Anvil in Gayian Town. There, you can place the necessary items and enhance your equipment.

Keep an eye out for the [Notice] during the process. The NPC Blacksmith Anvil is located next to the NPC Jacks, who you can learn more about here.

The upgrading system goes from +1 to +10. The attempt has a chance to succeed, fail, break or downgrade. You can prevent the items from breaking or downgrading by using items, that can be bought from miscellaneous Merchant at Gaiyan Town or the cash shop:

The gear gains % amount of power from the base gear value, based on your ugprade. Left value is weapon, right value is armor. All values are in %’s:

It is safe to upgrade your gear until +5 without a chance of breaking it, after that you may consider whether to risk for higher upgrades, or use cash shop items for the higher level upgrades to protect your items.
